InternNest
Design Process
My design process for the internship and job-finding app prototype followed a structured, user-centered approach:
Competitor Analysis – I began by researching existing job and internship platforms to identify strengths, weaknesses, and gaps in the market. This helped me determine key features that would make my app stand out and better serve college students.
Persona Development – To ensure the design aligned with user needs, I created a detailed persona representing my target audience. This persona guided design decisions, keeping the app’s features and user experience focused on real student challenges and expectations.
Prototyping in Figma – Using insights from my research, I designed an intuitive and visually appealing prototype in Figma, incorporating features like personalized job recommendations and a saving function for easy organization.
Usability Testing – To refine the design, I conducted usability testing, gathering feedback on navigation, functionality, and overall user experience. This allowed me to make informed adjustments and improve the app’s usability.
Through this process, I ensured that the final prototype effectively supports students in finding and managing internship and job opportunities with ease.
InternNest App Prototype
I designed an app prototype in Figma aimed at helping college students find and save internships and job opportunities tailored to their interests and skills.
The app streamlines the search process with personalized recommendations, saving job features, and an intuitive interface that makes job hunting more efficient.
With a focus on accessibility and ease of use, the prototype enhances the way students explore career opportunities, keeping them organized and on track for success.
Programs Used
I used Figma to design the interactive prototype. I used Adobe Illustrator to create all of the assets within the app prototype.
